This spec work was created as a mock-up for social media, to reveal that Claudia Winkleman would be returning to Crufts in 2027 as one of the guest hosts.
After a fantastic appearance during Crufts 2026, hosting the event alongside Claire Balding and Ellie Simmonds, Claudia Winkleman was quick for audiences to warm to, using a dog's brush for her iconic fringe, chatting away with the dogs and their owners, and her charisma oozing through the screen, with Crufts posting their own Best of Claudia Winkleman at Crufts video on 9th March 2026.
This piece pokes fun at Claudia's iconic hair colour and fringe, in a similar manner to how she did during the competition in 2026. Her iconic black hair is a signature look. While watching the promotional video, viewers would, theoretically, assume that one of the dogs, a Newfoundland on the left and a Briard on the right, was Claudia instead due to their rich, long and healthy coats.
